Reviewing your funding
Reviewing your charitable giving is important to get a clear sense of what is working and what isn't, and find out what changes could be made to achieve more in the future. Giving becomes more satisfying if you can be sure of what impact your money is having. You may be asking:
- Am I achieving my personal objectives?
- Am I making a social impact?
- Is my family working well together?
- How often should I review my giving?
- Am I satisfied with the level of feedback I’m receiving from charities?
NPC can review your giving in a variety of ways, from a simple discussion, to grant analysis and interviews with the
key people involved. We can bring a fresh perspective
and help you consider different options
for your philanthropy.

A family affair: Helping to define values
A former investment banker wanted to have more impact with his giving and to involve his teenage daughters. The family decided to implement a more formal philanthropy strategy, with NPC helping them to define their values more clearly, as well as narrowing the focus of their donations and establishing some criteria by which to proactively select charities to support.
'We always ensured our children's interests and passions were included in the selection process and we hope they're now growing up to be savvy investors in the philanthropic sector with benefits resonating far beyond our own family.'

‘I helped set up New Philanthropy Capital because I knew there were other donors who thought like me. They too are passionate about generating a social return with their donations and want support to make this happen.'
